Reflections on the scientist’s works on physiology and higher nervous activity inevitably forced me to create a large-scale sculptural group, a kind of hybrid chimera that would come alive. The robot installation is designed as an experiment to collect odd facts and fragmented documental records creating a universal visual image.

Equipped with the 21st century technical solutions, this work will embody and weave a continuous structure made of Pavlov’s theoretical and practical discoveries, their continuity and development through time, as well as the scientist himself and the subjects of his experiments. The structure will also soak up the Museum’s actual exhibits, thus dissolving the border between historical preservation and modernity, reality and one more reality…
